The JSC exams started at 10am on Thursday with the candidates taking English first paper tests. The JDC candidates were taking the test for Arabic first paper. This year Dhaka board total candidates of Junior School Certificate (JSC) 4, 83190. On the other hand total candidates of eight education board except Madrasah education board are as 14, 88,475.  Madrasah education board of Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) total candidate are as 2, 89,103.

JSC and JDC exam this year 19, 02,746 grade VIII students are taking the examinations this year more than half of them, 10,07,655 are female students. 15, 87,313 students are taking the JSC, the rest JDC tests. The exams, due on Nov 4, was deferred due to the Opposition’s 60-hour strike. JSC students were slated to take the Bangla first paper exam on Nov 4 and for Bangla second paper on Nov 6.
